Every Monday – Right After Learn-to-Play For Kids Ages 7–13

• Time: 5:00 PM

• Duration: ~30–45 Minutes

• Cost: Free!

• Experience Needed: Completed Learn-to-Play or basic MTG understanding

• Decks & Cards Provided for Building

🎯 WHAT IS IT?

A hands-on workshop where kids will learn how to build their own Magic: The Gathering deck from the ground up! With friendly guidance from our staff, young Planeswalkers will learn how to choose cards, build around a strategy, and create a fun, playable deck they can bring to our Sunday tournaments.

🧠 WHAT THEY’LL LEARN

• What makes a deck legal for casual play

• How many lands, creatures, and spells they’ll need

• Basic strategy: aggro, defense, combos, and synergies

• Color identity and how to focus on a theme

• How to swap cards, tweak ideas, and personalize their playstyle

Kids will get to explore cards, ask questions, and experiment — with help every step of the way.

🔧 HOW IT WORKS

• Choose from a selection of kid-friendly cards

• Build a 40-card casual deck with help from our team

• Learn how to test, improve, and make it your own

• Option to practice against a staff member or fellow builder

• Take the deck home to refine and bring back Sunday to compete!
