Legions Astartes: Combat Force

The forces of the Legiones Astartes are built around a core of elite infantry. Equipped with power armour and weapons that can lay low any foes they may face, they strike hard and true. Supported by powerful Dreadnoughts and other engines of war, there is little they cannot take down.

If you want to claim the galaxy in the name of the Emperor (or tear it all down in the name of Horus), this box is the perfect way to start a new Legiones Astartes collection – or expand an existing army – and save money compared to buying the kits individually. There are two squads of Space Marine Legionaries clad in advanced MkVI power armour – a bolter-wielding Tactical Squad, and a Heavy Support Squad armed with either missile launchers or heavy bolters. Either of these units can embark on the Deimos pattern Rhino for rapid deployment. The force is rounded out with a hulking Leviathan Dreadnought, equipped with devastating long-ranged weaponry.

This boxed set builds 22 multipart plastic miniatures:

– 10x MkVI Tactical Squad Legionaries
– 10x MkVI Heavy Support Squad Legionaries

The miniatures in this kit are easy to customise. The Heavy Support Squad can be built with armour-busting missile launchers, or infantry-shredding heavy bolters, and can also build optional Legionaries with nuncio-vox and vexilla.

The Tactical Squad includes parts to build an optional Sergeant and Legionaries with nuncio-vox and vexilla.

The Deimos pattern Rhino can take a pintle-mounted havoc launcher, heavy bolter, heavy flamer, multi-melta or combi-bolter, combi-flamer, combi-melta, combi-plasma, or combi-volkite, as well as searchlights, a dozer blade, and a hunter-killer missile.

The Leviathan Dreadnought has three heavy weapons to choose from – a cyclonic melta lance, grav-flux bombard, and Leviathan storm cannon, which can be mounted on either side of the body.

These miniatures have no Legion-specific markings, so you can use them in any Legiones Astartes force, whether you’re loyal to the Emperor or have joined Horus in his rebellion.

Legions Astartes: Contemptor Dreadnought

Perhaps the most advanced Dreadnought engine in the arsenal of the Great Crusade, the Contemptor Dreadnought fuses traditional technologies with arcane cybernetic lore. A powerful atomantic reactor fuels the Dreadnought’s impressive speed and strength, while also supplying the defensive energy fields that further increase its battlefield durability. Equipped with a versatile armoury of weapons that allow it to serve as a mobile heavy weapons platform, assault powerhouse, or versatile linebreaker, the Contemptor has found a place within every Legion, no matter their preferred tactics.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Contemptor Dreadnought, an impressive combat walker with an absolute trove of weapon options. The kit provides eight different ranged weapons to choose from – a conversion beam cannon, Gravis autocannon, Gravis bolt cannon, Gravis lascannon, Gravis melta cannon, Gravis plasma cannon, Kheres assault cannon, and volkite dual-culverin – each of which can be mounted on either of the Contemptor’s arms. The kit also includes two melee fists, each of which can be built as either a Gravis power fist or Gravis chainfist, and sports your choice of in-built weapon – a combi-bolter, graviton gun, heavy flamer, meltagun, or plasma blaster. The model can even be built with a hull-mounted havoc launcher or head-mounted helical targeting array.

You’ll also find a variety of alternate components and cosmetic options, including two heads, four different carapace designs, a choice of claws or fingers for the power fists, and scrollwork and tilting shield accessories. The model’s joints, head, and power fist digits can all be assembled to offer a wide range of poses, ensuring that no two Contemptors look quite the same.

Legions Astartes: Deimos Pattern Rhino

The Rhino is the most widely used armoured personnel carrier in the Imperium. Based on ancient STC technology, the fundamental design is robust, reliable, and easy to maintain, with an adaptive power plant that can run off a wide variety of fuels, making it perfect for the wide-ranging armies of the Great Crusade – and the wars of the Horus Heresy. As such, the Rhino chassis serves as a basis for many other war machines, and these transports are produced in their thousands – several distinct patterns are in common use throughout the galaxy, with the heavily-armed Deimos being the most widespread amongst the Space Marine Legions.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Legion Rhino Transport, in the distinctive Deimos pattern. This efficient transport vehicle has the capacity to carry a 10-man squad of Legionaries across the battlefields of the 31st Millennium, with room for characters to join the unit. Protected from enemy fire by thick armour plating and its defensive smoke launchers, the Legion Rhino Transport is armed with twin-linked bolters, and can be further customised with a range of weapons and utility gear. This kit includes the components to add a pintle-mounted havoc launcher, heavy bolter, heavy flamer, multi-melta, or a combi-weapon with five configurations (bolter, flamer, melta, plasma, or volkite), as well as a searchlight, a dozer blade, and a hunter-killer missile. This model has no Legion markings, allowing Warhammer hobbyists to paint it in whichever colours they choose – however, the box includes a transfer sheet with 42 optional markings and iconography for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions.

Legions Astartes: Drop Pod

Drop pods are self-contained, recoverable orbital descent capsules, each designed to deliver a squad of Space Marines. They are used for surprise attacks and combat drops into the midst of active war zones, with Legiones Astartes warships showering them down like ordnance from the edge of space towards their target. Drop pods are armoured and reinforced to withstand the rigours of re-entry, but their true defence is speed.

This multipart plastic kit builds one Drop Pod, a transport option for Legiones Astartes armies in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. If you favour disruption, harassment, and aggressive tactics, the Drop Pod will open up new tactical options for your forces. As standard, the Drop Pod is equipped with a Pintle Mounted combi-bolter. The miniature features detailed internal systems such as a console and harnesses, as well as glueless assembly on all five doors, allowing you to open and close them as necessary.

Legions Astartes: Fellblade Super-Heavy Battle Tank

Fellblades are advanced super-heavy tanks that first saw widespread service in the Space Marine Legions in the decades before the Horus Heresy. They are notable for their Mechanicum atomantic arc-reactor, reinforced metaplas alloy chassis, and advanced accelerator cannon – all fruits of technologies restored to Humanity by the later conquests of the Great Crusade.

This multipart plastic kit builds a Fellblade Super-Heavy Battle Tank, a behemoth of destruction for your Legiones Astartes armies in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. Protected by thick armour plating, it can withstand incredible amounts of damage, soaking up firepower that would tear through lesser tanks. In reply, the turret-mounted Fellblade accelerator cannon can eradicate enemy vehicles and troops with ease. Its secondary armament is a hull-mounted demolisher cannon – a fearful weapon in its own right. The Fellblade is ideal for dominating the battlefield and providing support to your infantry advance. Legions Astartes: Fellblade/Glaive Super-Heavy Tanks

The Fellblade is built around the rugged Baneblade chassis. Its reinforced metaplas alloy hull is crowned by a traversable turret mounting a formidable twin-barreled accelerator cannon, capable of firing a variety of specialised shells. The Glaive, on the other hand, utilises a vast volkite carronade on its turret.

This multipart plastic kit builds two super-heavy tanks for your Legiones Astartes armies in games of Legions Imperialis. Each vehicle can be assembled either as a Fellblade, bearing an armour-busting Fellblade accelerator cannon and a hull-mounted demolisher cannon, or as a Glaive with a fearsome volkite carronade to take out swathes of heavy infantry. Whichever variant you choose, these tanks are capable of turning the tide of any battle.

Both versions are equipped with a hull-mounted heavy bolter, and your choice of sponson-mounted laser destroyers, quad heavy bolters, or quad lascannons. They can also be built with a closed hatch, or an open hatch with either a crew member, or a gunner with a pintle-mounted multi-melta or heavy bolter.

Legions Astartes: Heavy Weapon Upgrade Set Missile Launchers and Heavy Bolters

Heavy Support Squads provide the Legiones Astartes with mobile, infantry-portable firepower sufficient to bring down hordes of enemy troops or smash armoured vehicles apart with withering hails of fire, combining devastating armaments with all the flexibility of a footsoldier. Heavy bolters are the largest bolt weapons available to infantry, unleashing a storm of shells that tear apart enemy formations, while missile launchers are prized for their versatility, offering a variety of explosive munitions suited to eliminating infantry, tanks, or aircraft.

This plastic upgrade kit can be used to equip Legionaries from the MKVI Tactical Squad set with powerful heavy weapons, suitable for use in a Legion Heavy Support Squad. The kit includes 10 heavy bolters and 10 missile launchers with arms suited to each weapon, allowing you to upgrade a full MKVI Tactical Squad set into two Heavy Support Squads of 10 models, or four units of five models. Also included are four augury scanners which can be carried alongside a heavy weapon, allowing each of your Heavy Support Squads to detect and eliminate enemy units.
